ChiChi’s Preview & Prediction for Youhzny v. Wawrinka

Talk about a toss up. Both players are solid off the ground, are able to mix it up with a variety of shots and both players are not afraid to come in and put pressure on their opponent if they have to. Stan is the hot player with some solid wins this tournament, but Youzhny has had a better overall year. Some differences that could decide this match could be the fact that Wawrinka is serving extremely well. On the flip side the experience factor would go to Youzhny for the fact that he has been to this round of a grand slam a couple of times. In contrast this is Stan’s first trip to the quarters of any major. The thing that decides it for me in a close matchup like this one is the fact that Stan had a mentally, emotionally and physically grueling 4.5 hr match on Tuesday, not to mention an emotionally draining win over heavy favorite Andy Murray. As much as Stan is a warrior and a true professional, he is human and he could very well suffer some consequences because of those tough matches. In a close battle like this where both players are known to play with heart and know the significance of the moment I will take the fresher guy.Youhzny in 5 sets. 57 63 46 75 63.
