Chichi’s Preview & Prediction for Pennetta v. Peer

Chichi’s Preview & Prediction for Pennetta v. Peer

by Chichi, GEM Tennis (18-6 record on GEM)

I’m stubborn again. I’m going to pick a women’s match. I hope this one turns out better than the Safina disaster. I like Pennetta on these medium fast hard courts against almost anybody, but Serena Williams and she ain’t here. Shahar Peer is certainly not an example of Serena’s replacement. Pennetta is on a roll despite a foot injury that caused her to default to Wozniacki a few weeks ago, but her foot is better now and her penetrating groundstrokes should get Peer on the defensive where the Israeli is not bad, but on these courts becomes more limited. Peer won the last meeting which was at Indian Wells which is significantly slower than Flushing Meadows. Revenge this time for Pennetta. Peer will be close, but will not get the cigar. Pennetta 75 75.

Prediction: Pennetta over Peer 7-5, 7-5

Chichi is now an outstanding 18-6 since joining the GEM Tennis team.
