Check out this preview for the Women’s draw at the 2010 US Open.

With Serena Williams out of this year’s open there is a lack of a heavy favorite. The defending champion Kim Clijsters, Maria Sharapova, Carolina Wozniacki, or a suprise winner are all possibilities. The winner will be determined by how the draw shapes up and which woman is playing the best tennis at the moment. Sharapova has been steadily improving this year and perhaps she’s the only one that still has room to improve in her match play. It’ll be an interesting 2 weeks for the women.
