Federer Rolls Over Baghdatis

Cincinnati, USA: Federer d. Baghdatis 6-4, 6-3 — Is he back? Roger Federer played near flawless tennis against Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis. Federer played real aggressive throughout the match and put so much pressure on Baghdatis that the Cypriot was forcing his shots and making unforced errors as a result. This was a very good sign for Federer to see his opponent panicking. Federer won 90% of the points on his first serve and the biggest statistical surprise was that Fed won more points on Baghdatis’ serve than he lost. This match was close to his form from the Australian Open in January. He’ll look to continue to build his confidence with a win against American Mardy Fish in tomorrow’s final.
