Lacko d Hewitt 6-4, 6-2
In a very sloppy and lackluster match, Slovakian Lukas Lacko defeated an injured and apathetic Lleyton Hewitt. Hewitt did have his chances in the first set, but ultimately at 25% first serves in play, he wasn’t going to be able to hold serve against anyone in the world. Afterwards, Hewitt refused to give a specific injury as for the problem, but he explained that the medical staff did an amazing job to get him on the court. However because of the injury Hewitt wasn’t able to practice very well the past few days and clearly his level of play was effected.
Roddick d Ram 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-3
