Just Another Day at the Office: Roger Federer

World #1 Roger Federer drubbed 10th seeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 in just 88 minutes. Federer produced 33 winners and only 13 unforced errors throughout the match in a performance he called, “nothing exceptional.” Tsonga had no chance as he was constantly caught too far behind the baseline defending against Federer groundstrokes.

FUTURE OUTLOOK: For his semifinal match Federer was prepared for a battle as he always is, but the match was very routine for the dominant Swiss. For the final against Andy Murray fitness and confidence will not be an issue for Federer. Look for the Men’s final preview in the next day at GEMTennis.com!
