US OPEN: OUDIN, EYE STILL ON THE PRIZE

Despite being defeated last night by Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, 17 year old Melanie Oudin proved that one day she’ll be back. In the post match press conference Oudin fielded a variety of questions, but none more telling than this one:

Q. Do you think of yourself as a celebrity now?

MELANIE OUDIN: I don’t think of myself as a celebrity at all. Just because it’s me, like I’ve never like thought of myself like that. I just love to play tennis. That’s it, you know. Just playing tennis. My love of the game and going out there, I love playing in front of people. I love people watching me, but I just ?? and people know who I am…

Oudin’s has one of the most important pieces of being a champion, passion. Good luck Melanie!
